I think so too. There is a clue that the soldiers bled on the poppies because of the way the petals' colour reacts with end of the stem. If the soldiers had bled on the poppies, the blood would have spurked out, fell into the soil, coloured the water in the soil red, and changed the appearance of the flower. By Hayden
